Business Promotion - Back-up Programmes for Investment - Barne-Ekintzaile

It is true that, on occasions, companies stop developing new activities, infused as they are by the dynamics of production and the market. It is difficult for many to release the material and human resources required to develop and assess all the ideas arising during the company´s activity.

Considering the above, and given the special care that must be taken to avoid introducing a market-distorting element with the aid, it is thought to be more appropriate to back the company from which such ideas arise and which decides to transfer human and material resources from their usual activities, rather than directly backing the specific promoters of the idea.

This programme aims to encourage the generation of business and innovative initiatives arising from within the businesses themselves. It might be said that the line of aids established is equivalent to those of the Ekintzaile Programme at the initial stage but directed towards SMEs from where new business projects are arising.

The following are excluded: the backing of the constitution of mere business units as companies and business diversifications not requiring development or which are unrelated to a prior know-how present in the company.

The Business Innovation centres (CEIs) play a fundamental role in the programme as back-up instruments for entrepreneurs, accompanying them throughout the maturing and start-up process of new companies, and providing consultancy services and infrastructures for the location of their activities.

Objective:

Support for the intra-enterprise business within the Basque SMEs, by accompanying and funding new business projects of an innovative nature and/or with an industrial technology or related services bias, tutored by a CEI (Business Innovation Centre) while the idea is maturing.

For the setting up of the company, it is necessary to refer to the Ekintzaile Programme (Aid Type 2)

Type of Aid:

To accompany the individual or promoting team in the necessary expenses while the idea matures and to draw up a Feasibility Report, until the setting up of the company.. This aid is viewed as a non-repayable subvention.

Beneficiaries:

SMEs bringing an idea for a business project of an innovative nature and /or with an industrial technology or related services bias, and which is to be implemented within the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country (CAPV). These aids will be extended for a maximum of 12 months. The Business Innovation Centre will accompany the project with consultancy services and by providing physical locations.

Amount of the Aids:

Up to 75 % of the Fundable Costs with a ceiling of 30,000 Euros: Costs for consultancy and external technical assistance, exploratory studies and documentation, Attendance of fairs, travel, making of models and prototypes and other similar factors considered necessary for the satisfactory development of the project in the development of the project.
