2004 April, 28-30th. EURBEST 1st Study Tour on Entrepreneurship (Bilbao)

Hosted by SPRI (Basque Country) the first Study Tour focused on Entrepreneurship. It was followed by some 28 delegates that took part in the event along the sessions and visits. The agenda for two and half days included presentations of experiences from every participant, discussion and debate and also with DG Enterprise delegate Mr. Emmanuel Berk, who presented the priorities of the European Entrepreneurship Action Plan. The visit to BIC Gipuzkoa Berrilan and Miramon Empresa Digitala initiative located in Miramon Technology Park (in Donostia San-Sebastian) gave delegates the opportunity to see the facilities in-place, get a better knowledge of the support measures and activities carried out. It was also a good opportunity to talk to entrepreneurs and with the officers directly involved in the delivery of the services. A visit to the Guggenheim Museum and to the Biscay Transporter Bridge put the cultural note and historical background to the meeting. The witness was taken by SIVA who shall be the host of the EURBEST 2nd Study Tour on Internationalisation (Bodo).
